Glassware

I know the hunt will be "on" for interesting glassware during our trip to Round Top.

I've picked up a couple of wine bottles on previous trips and I can't seem to get enough!

On our last trip we saw the seltzer bottles but we passed them up. I wasn't really sure what color or where I had a place for one. We did see them in all different colors and price ranges. It will be interesting to see if we actually bring one home this trip.

French Olive Basket

With Round Top around the corner Jennie and I are starting to create our wish list.

One of the items we will be looking for are the French olive baskets. I particularly like the idea of using one to hold a plant as shown in this photo.

Daily Delight

Once I get the house repainted I will be layering in fabrics so today I went looking for inspiration but didn't find anything. I was looking for a yellow and gray French floral fabric. Then I was reminded of a decorating rule suggesting your home should model what you wear. Oh no! I don't wear yellow! So why would I think I would enjoy living in it? Does your home reflect your wardrobe?

Once I studied the chairs in this photo I had to laugh. I forgot I do own something yellow.

I typically gravitate towards black, white and gray solid fabrics with pops of coral, blue or kiwi. My style is traditional with masculine lines topped with a simple touch of vintage bling.

Am I thinking this too much or should I simply create rules based on my wardrobe? I guess my gray walls with black doors and white trim didn't happen by accident!

The trip to the fabric store was inspirational!

We currently have the red appliances which I wouldn't have selected on my own but our Chris found us a deal that we couldn't pass up.

Ultimately I truly love the bright red appliances.

Queen of Love

This weekend I went by the Revival store and sitting outside is their new fun Italian made Oueen of Love outdoor chairs. They are Baroque style chairs made of polythyrene; weather, sun and scratch resistant and come in 16 different colors!

If you haven't had a chance to check out Revival you should. It's located in Bee Cave, Texas out on 71 by Rosie's. They have new and old vintage pieces and are willing to special order items. They have ambitious plans for the 2.5 acres and I can't wait to see them grow. Make sure to go out back they have a collection of great old doors and other stuff.
