Hall Bathroom

Our hall bathroom was long over due for an update.

I moved the parrots and palm to our utility room.

I painted the walls with Pink Ground by Farrow and Ball.

I picked up this wall art from Back Home.

Also, this gold lacquer tray.

After painting the cabinet I removed the doors to give an open feel.

I purchased a burlap shower curtain from Etsy
Carrie from Carrie's Place custom made the curtain from my measurements.

I filled the cabinet with different containers.

I included silver vintage vessels.

I topped the cabinet with baskets.

I purchased this gold candle holder from Round Top.

The before.

the after

Honestly, this isn't my favorite room in the house.

I learned a valuable lesson, don't change direction in mid-stream. I started with a natural style and then during my trip to Round Top was introduced to gold influences. This room feels disconnected due to the change of my strategy. My recent style is gravitating towards a more formal mood rather than the previous relaxed flair.

Eventually we will get back on track.
Remember Rome wasn't built overnight!

My Design Room

As most of you know Natalie graduated from college and is currently living in Florida.
So it's time! We needed to part with her childhood bunk bed and turn this room into a functional space.

We started by cleaning out the room and deciding what stays and what goes.

I then repainted the room in Slate by Restoration Hardware. For the window coverings, I recycled the Belgian linen drapes from another room and hung wooden white blinds for privacy. We added a pewter metal finish head and foot bed frame with glass finials.  To complete the room we had hardwood flooring installed.

This room is my design room and where I work on Sunday Loft.
Above the desk is my DYI burlap inspiriation board.

I hung my favorite Chinese paint brushs that
I purchased during the field of dreams trip to Round Top.

To secure my sources of inspiration are little gold bubble bee pins purchased from Ballard Designs

On the opposite wall is a French bus sign.

Next to the bed is a small little mirror table.

A closer look at one of the finials that make this bed sparkle.

Hung over the bed is a oil painting from my childhood home.

The bed is dressed in all neutral linen.

Wire Basket

Hi everyone, after posting the bathroom photos I received many inquiries on the wire basket.

You too can have this functional wire basket.
I ordered it from Ballard Designs.

Getting organized can never looked so good.
